Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant in the Overhead Bin Causes Social Media Frenzy

Southwest Airlines has developed a reputation for its friendly and sometimes quirky flight attendants but you don’t expect to find them hanging out in the overhead bins during boarding. But really, what flight attendant HASN’T been in the overhead bin.. I mean — really.

However, some passengers boarding a recent flight from Nashville to Philadelphia were surprised to find just that. Twitter user Verny Vern captured the bizarre moment in a pair of posts published Monday.

“Is this a dream? I can’t get over how weird I find this. @SouthwestAir please get it together,” she wrote.

In a statement, Southwest said that its employees are known for their sense of humor and that the flight attendant was just trying to make the passengers smile during the boarding process.

Even Verny Vern, who says it was weird — took a picture.. well.. smiling. So I guess this flight attendant’s mission was accomplished.

Anyway, like I said — we’ve all done it.. I just haven’t done it during boarding.
