According to TMZ.com, the 42-year-old actress had boarded Delta Air Lines Flight 613 from Los Angeles International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City when the incident occurred.
Once on board, Reid became upset when she discovered she did not receive a window seat as she booked and confronted flight attendants, who worked to calm the actress.
Reid then complained about not getting a pillow and the pilot called for the flight to turn back as it had just pushed back from the gate. The airline said the decision was made due to a “customer disturbance on board.”
“Delta apologizes to the remaining customers for the inconvenience and appreciates their patience as the situation was resolved,” a spokesperson for the carrier told TMZ. “The flight re-departed for New York following a short delay.”
A video from inside the plane was released on social media which allegedly shows Reid and her tiny dog gathering their belongings and being escorted off the plane.
The report claims the police were not called since Reid followed orders and she was booked on another flight.
