BBQ lovers rejoice. Northeast Ohio’s Sides to go! BBQ has opened a new restaurant at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The local eatery brings authentic southern-inspired dishes and pit-style barbeque to the food scene at the airport.
Chef Claude Booker created the mouthwatering concept. His motto: “Sometimes you just want to eat.” The classic “meat + 3” cafe fuses BBQ, Cajun and southern cuisine in a delectable menu of BBQ Plate Meals, Cajun Bowls and Southern Fried Plates all served with cornbread, plus BBQ Sandwich Combos like pulled pork and sliced brisket sandwiches. There’s more Southern Sides & Fixins like peach cobbler and a kids’ menu.
“We are excited to welcome Sides to go! BBQ to the airport. This popular stop for beloved side dishes and barbeque will be a big hit with hungry passengers,” said Tina LaForte, Vice President of Airmall Cleveland, a project of Fraport USA.
Noted for southern style barbeque like Carolina pulled pork and chicken and bourbon glazed wings, the restaurant is equally famous for a variety of homestyle side dishes, including mac and cheese, black-eyed peas, collard greens, fried okra, hush puppies, fried plantains and sweet potato casserole.
“We wish this local operator success with their new restaurant,” said Airport Director Robert Kennedy. “Sides to go! BBQ delivers on quality, variety, taste, and value. It is simply prepared, delicious food that our customers will seek out. We are pleased to welcome them to CLE.”
The new Sides to go! BBQ is located in Concourse C. Hours are Sunday through Friday, 4 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., and Saturday, 4 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. The restaurant also has locations in Macedonia and Maple Heights.
