The Governor of Florida has announced that all arriving passengers into the State of Florida from the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area will pass through a health screening and will be required to self isolate for 14 days to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
A form required to be completed upon arrival collects information on the passengers and their isolation location. But also comes with a warning that breaking your isolation can result in 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.
The White House yesterday made many claims that “the country” will re-open soon and we would focus isolation on “hot spots” only, however, how would business be conducted if a business traveler would have to isolate themselves for 14 days upon arrival? Further, flight crews are not being screened and isolated. With airlines still flying, crews are at risk and are also at risk of spreading it to others.
The forms passengers need to fill out are located below.
