Emirates is in the process of researching whether or not the creation of a budget economy cabin with smaller seating and lower prices would sufficiently tap into a potential customer base.
“The fact of the matter is there is a whole stream of new market segments coming in that are budget conscious,” said air line president Tim Clark. “I think we can adapt what we do to be able to accommodate not all of it, but some of it.”
Clark went on to say that budget economy passengers would likely still receive free meals aboard flights.
