How to Pitch On It Media / The Jet Set

We’re always talking about travel, destinations and lifestyle tips and trends to help our viewers and readers get inspired for their next trip or book and prepare for their upcoming journey.

We’re always on the lookout for freelance writers and want to feature voices from all communities.

We are currently commissioning stories for The Jet Set and The Jet Set en Español. We pay a rate of between $50-$125 depending on the story length and level of research. Story length is flexible but is generally around 500-800 words.

UDM/TJS accepts stories on a range of travel topics, including destination features, insider advice, booking strategies, saving money, avoiding scams, packing tips, best places to go, travel tech, travel trends, and travel tips that represent all kinds of travelers and travel experiences.

How to Successfully Pitch

Before you pitch, search the site to make sure that your story topic has not already been covered.

Offer reasons why you think your story will be a top performer. Is it timely? Will it have long-tail SEO value? Is it a trending topic?

Outline the methodology you will be using for a story (for example, looking at DOT data, interviewing flight attendants, personal experiences, etc.)

Include a brief summary of your writing experience/links to previously published work.

You may email all pitches, submissions, and guest post requests to [email protected].

Please remember there is no guarantee that your pitch, submission or request will be accepted and published. If a pitch or submission is accepted and commissioned it becomes the property of Unico Digital Media, LLC & The Jet Set.
