Alaska Airlines to Offer Subscription Service

  • Picture of Mark McKee Mark McKee

Subscription services are part of life at this point. Whether watching TV, getting groceries delivered, or your favorite newsletter, the word subscribe means more today than ever. But what if your subscription service can take you to new places? Not in your mind the way Amazon Prime promises to, but physically put you on the Las Vegas Strip? This is the promise Alaska Airlines makes with its new subscription service. With travel and tourism expected to make a strong comeback in 2022, this is the best time to take advantage of new ways to fly.

Alaska Airlines Flight Pass Subscription

Launching on Wednesday, February 16, Alaska Airlines offers Flight Pass, the easiest way to explore the Southwest United States. As the first domestic subscription service of its kind, subscribers can visit their favorite destinations across the southwest for less than a subscription to Hulu Live. Starting at $49 a month, travelers can get rid of the budgeting for months on end merely for a weekend getaway to Lake Tahoe, San Fransisco, or Las Vegas. By enrolling in a subscription service that keeps you ready for a getaway at a moment’s notice, the stress disappears from the travel bug.

How Does it Work and Where Does it Go?

Travelers who sign up for Flight Pass will first choose the subscription service that works best for them. When you enroll, you commit to a year subscription on a monthly payment and get 6, 12, or 24 flights. When your monthly payment debits, Alaska delivers to your Flight Pass account and you can book roundtrip flights. Subscribers can use these flights anywhere within California or from California into Nevada or Arizona.

The most significant benefits of Flight Pass are the discounts (monthly Flight Pass fees are cheaper than the price of a regular ticket), the peace of mind knowing you have locked in your travel price for the year, and the freedom to book a flight to Vegas on a whim . . .and skipping over that brutal commute from LA to Vegas at the end of the week. For more information and to get enrolled, head over to Alaska Air.
