As Boeing continues to deal with the fallout from the 737 Max crashes and subsequent grounding, United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter to offer the airplane manufacturer some advice.
President Trump offered the unsolicited input on social media Monday, saying Boeing needs to fix all of the issues regarding the airlines/american-airlines-extends-boeing-737-max-cancellations-again.html” target=”_self” rel=”nofollow noopener noreferrer”>737 Max planes and then add additional features to entice travelers and airlines to continue utilizing the aircraft.
What do I know about branding, maybe nothing (but I did become President!), but if I were Boeing, I would FIX the Boeing 737 MAX, add some additional great features, & REBRAND the plane with a new name.
No product has suffered like this one. But again, what the hell do I know?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 15, 2019
Trump says that once the planes are fixed and overhauled, Boeing should rebrand the 737 Max fleet to avoid the stigma associated with the crashes of Lion Air Flight 610 in October and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 in March.
In his tweet, Trump talks about his success branding businesses, which includes hotels, golf courses and buildings adorned with the Trump name. He then sources becoming president as one of his most significant marketing victories.
