Nonstop service between Branson and New Orleans will operate Monday and Friday with one flight traveling each way. However, flights between Branson and Houston will operate more frequently. Service from Branson to Houston will operate daily with the exception of Friday while Houston to Branson service will operate daily except on Saturday. Silver Airways will offer service from Branson to Chicago six days a week and service from Chicago to Branson five days a week, including a morning and an afternoon flight on Saturday.
The Branson routes will be operated with the airline‘s new fleet of eco-friendly ATR-600 aircraft. Set to be introduced into service later this year, the planes will boast leather seats, additional legroom and spacious overhead bins able to accommodate full-size, carry-on roller bags.
“We are thrilled to add Branson, Missouri as Silver’s newest destination,” said the airline’s president and CFO, Jason Bewley, in a statement. “Our new fleet of eco-friendly ATR-600s will provide a superior guest experience on flights from New Orleans, Houston, and Chicago. These new nonstop routes, combined with interline connectivity to major cities across the U.S., will stimulate air travel in the region and make Branson accessible nationwide.”
“We are excited to see yet another option for our millions of visitors to travel to Branson,” said Jeff Seifried, president and CEO of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau, in his own statement. “As we continue to grow the economy in Branson, strong air service options only build on our momentum. The business community understands the high economic impact of delivering multiple air service options to our guests.”
Starting May 23, 2018, Silver Airways will operate daily nonstop flights between Orlando International Airport and Alabama’s Huntsville International Airport.
Members of United Airlines‘ MileagePlus and JetBlue‘s TrueBlue loyalty programs can earn frequent flyer awards for travel throughout the carrier’s network, which includes multiple destinations in Florida and the Bahamas. The airline is also convenient for travelers enrolled in the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck program after joining last year.
