On June 9, Friday, “White Chicks” and “Scary Movie” actor, Marlon Wayans missed his performances in Kansas City after an incident at a United Airlines gate in Denver.

The 50-year-old comedian documented the incident on social media claiming that the problem started when he was told by a United Airlines agent that he exceeded the number of bags allowed.

According to Wayans’ Instagram post “[The agent] asked me to consolidate my bags and I complied.” After consolidating his bags from three to two, the actor was told that he should check his bag since it was “too big”.

The actor then told the agent “See now you’re just f—ing with me”. He then grabbed his ticket and walked to the plane. According to Wayans, other passengers on board brought more bags on the plane.

United Airlines Agent Allowed Other Passengers to Bring More Bags?

According to TMZ, a witness saw Wayans agitated and allegedly slammed his ticket on the counter before he attempted to board the plane.

The witness added that the United Airlines employee tried to stop Wayans but failed to do so. This led the gate agent to call security. 30 minutes later, cops arrived and escorted Wayans off the plane.

Wayans tweeted, “So disappointed in @united If this is how @united treats their first class customers… I’d rather fly any competitor coach. Sorry KC I’m gonna miss tonight’s shows due to a United gate agent who probably hated white chicks”.

A spokesperson from the Denver PD confirmed that Wayans received a citation for disturbing the peace. He needs to appear in court on July 11th.

According to a statement by United Airlines, “In Denver on Friday, a customer who had been told he would have to gate-check his bag instead pushed past a United employee at the jetbridge and attempted to board the aircraft. The customer won’t be flying on United to his destination.”

Wayans eventually flew out of Denver using Delta Airlines.
