Carnival Launches Learn and Earn Agent Training Program

  • Picture of TJS News TJS News

Carnival Cruise Line is launching “Loyalty Rocks: Learn and Earn,” a travel agent training program designed to “recognize and reward” advisors for “investing in their professional development,” say company officials.

Travel advisors who utilize the video-based Learn and Earn training embark on an 80 percent faster path to graduation in Loyalty Rocks, say Carnival officials. The Learn and Earn program features gold, platinum and diamond levels, and completing the course work enables advisors to better support clients while earning personal rewards and perks.

Learn to Earn program enhancements include bonus Loyalty Rocks reward points, waiver of the four-booking requirements for graduation and monthly seven-day Caribbean cruise awards for graduates.

“We understand the importance of quality training in helping our advisors to be successful in selling Carnival,” said Adolfo Perez, Carnival’s senior vice president of sales and trade marketing.

“So we set out to design a new training program that is focused, quick and relevant. When building out Learn and Earn, we spoke with travel advisors and took their advice to heart,” he added, “and we’re excited for agents to see the enhancements and perks to this program that we believe will deliver significant value.”

Travel advisors who complete all of the Learn and Earn courses receive 100 Loyalty Rocks reward points for their time and educational investment. Each graduate also receives a certificate signed by Perez and a Carnival Diamond Graduate logo for use on marketing materials.

Each month, Carnival will award five seven-day Caribbean cruises to graduates who submit a brief summary about how their Learn and Earn experience helped them develop their business. Entries will be judged by Carnival’s Sales Leadership Team, with the top five entries winning balcony staterooms onboard the ship and on the departure date of their choice.

The Learn and Earn program replaces Carnival Passport. Agents who participated in the previous program will receive credit for prior training completed, including automatic placement in advanced Learn and Earn levels.

Carnival officials are also offering the 600 travel advisors in the final level of Carnival Passport who are nearing graduation, a complimentary cruise opportunity (with validation of four new bookings made). The gesture is intended to recognize agents who devoted “significant time” to the Carnival Passport program.
