Here’s a story to warm your heart for the holidays and highlight the benefits of living in the social media age.
A Mississippi woman took to Twitter Saturday in hopes of finding her “best friend,” who she met on a Hawaiian dinner cruise back in 2006 but presumably hadn’t seen or heard from since.
“Hey Twitter, I met this girl on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006. We were basically best friends for that night so I need y’all to help me find my best friend cause I miss her and I need to see how she’s doing now,” wrote Bri, who goes by the Twitter handle @briannacry. “Please retweet this so we can be reunited.”
The post began to gain momentum and, amazingly, the girl in the photo responded within a matter of hours. She even held a photo of her younger self for proof.
