Family Fun in the Caribbean

  • Picture of TJS News TJS News

As spring break vacations begin to wrap up and the school year comes to an end, families start to make plans for the upcoming summer season. They had a blast spending a week together when the kids were out of school and are looking forward to enjoying more quality time together.

The Caribbean has plenty of fun in the sun for families to take part in, especially during a stay with Playa Hotels & Resorts. It’s a great place to consider for a last-minute spring getaway or a summer adventure.

Since the resorts in Playa’s collection are oceanfront, there are several opportunities to splash around. Kids can enjoy playing on the beach for hours building sand castles, jumping the waves and soaking in the Caribbean sun.

This is in addition to the kid-friendly pools available for splashing around and playing games in or relaxing and cooling off with a refreshing drink.

At Jewel Runaway Bay, kids (and adults) will go crazy for the Jewel Lagoon Waterpark open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This experience is located on property and is always included with a stay at the resort.

Families will enjoy making memories together taking raft rides, relaxing on the cabanas and zipping down the speed slide for hours on end. The waterpark also offers a lazy river, two splash-down pools and a zero-entry beach lagoon. From toddlers to teenagers, all ages will enjoy this slice of paradise.

Playa’s family resorts know that all ages are interested in different things and don’t want any kids getting bored throughout their stay. They are prepared with various kids and teens programs all day long and into the evening.

Children ages three to five will enjoy things like treasure hunts and craft projects, and children six to nine get to enjoy sand village building, dance class, obstacle courses and more. As the ages get older, things like snorkeling, photography classes, archery and much more are available to take part in.

The counselors are present throughout the day ensuring children and teenagers are having fun and getting the most out of their stay.

The family resorts in the Playa Hotels & Resorts collection go above and beyond to cater to families with children of all ages. From the unique experiences both on land and in the water to the friendly staff and tasty cuisine, families can’t go wrong booking a stay at one of these resorts in the Caribbean.
