Celebrity Introduces New Glamping at Sea Experience

If you have ever wanted to sleep under the stars at sea, the Celebrity Flora is where you will want to be.

The ship, purpose-built for the Galapagos Islands, will introduce an industry-first: glamping on the top deck. Guests can dine, drink and sleep under the stars in one of the most amazing outdoor areas of the globe with Celebrity Cruises.

“Celebrity Flora was specifically designed to bring our guests closer to the Galapagos Islands than ever before–from its outward-facing design that takes guests to the water’s edge to the enhanced custom-designed Novurania yacht tenders,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO, Celebrity Cruises.

“And now our new Galapagos Glamping experience gives guests an incredible opportunity to experience the destination the ship was built for, on a whole new level, under the millions of stars above.”

Each night, four guests will be able to book the top-deck experience. They will have access to two cabanas, one for dining on an al fresco meal and the other a double bed for sleeping outside. Guests will also have a naturalist who will highlight the visible stars and constellations for them.

To further enhance the glamping experience, the cuisine is campfire inspired. Everything from the cocktails to the s’mores are reminiscent of outdoor cooking.

While stargazing at night is certainly front and center for the Galapagos Glamping experience, the experience doesn’t end when the stars fade from the sky. Campers will also welcome the spectacular sunrise with a full bed-side breakfast.

Celebrity Flora will make her debut on May 26, 2019, sailing alternating 10- and 11-night tours. Guests have the opportunity to book a 16-night itinerary with an inner loop and outer loop of the islands.
