American Airlines Plans to Suspend All Regional Operations out of Miami

American Airlines intends to suspend all regional operations out of Miami, effective May 7th for at least a month. This would apply to all regional carriers. News of the suspension was first reported to Envoy Air employees on Wednesday.  Envoy Air, is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group operating more than 185 aircraft on 1,000 daily flights. Around 6pm EST, Republic Airways informed their crews of the regional suspension.
