Delta Announces New Gender-Neutral Uniform Policy
Delta Air Lines has released new uniform policy language; taking a compassionate, more gender-neutral approach to guidelines which apply to the airline’s flight attendants and other workers. It really is a great move by Delta.
Delta’s new uniforms were designed by Zac Posen and include ‘Ultra Violet’, the Pantone color of the year.
“A process is in place for all employees to select the uniform kit that suits their preference; however, for above wing, the mixing of male and female garments is not an option. If an item is ordered from a male or female kit, the rest of the employee’s items must originate from the same kit. Once the male or female option is chosen, the garments must be worn in complete compliance for that uniform.”
Note: The uniform must be 100% compliant; including hair, jewelry, shoes, hose etc. with either the male or female uniform.
