Etihad Gives PAX Up to Five Years to Pay off Flight Prices

Abu Dhabi-based air carrier, Etihad is letting you fly now and pay later! This new installment method of paying for flights is meant to be more convenient for families.

In order to participate, you’ll need to select the option to ‘Pay By Installment’ when it comes time to enter payment information for your flight. Installments can be paid within three to 60 months and the new plan is compatible with 17 participating banks.

Vice President of Digital Strategy and Innovation Justin Warby said: “We understand travel can be a significant expense, especially for families and those on a tight budget, so this new initiative is a great way for people to book and enjoy their travel without having to worry about paying in one large sum. When we were designing this product, we were really looking at how we can assist those low to medium income travelers and families, but of course, spreading the payment over a period of months is also a great way to indulge in Etihad Airways’ famous premium cabins”.

For the time being, the offer is only available to residents of the UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. If the program proves to be a hit, there’s a good chance that it will be expanded to additional countries.
