Hitch: A New RideShare and Delivery Company Launches in Florida

A new rideshare and delivery company launched in Florida promising competitive rates and top-notch services. Hitch allows users to travel between Florida cities even if they don’t have their own car. It is available for download on both Android and iOS.

This is beneficial not only for tourists but for anyone else interested in traveling on a budget. For trips more than 50 miles, Hitch typically offers a rate that’s five times less than Uber and Lyft. And not only that, it also provides more revenue for its drivers.

Aside from providing the usual ride-sharing services, Hitch also offers same-day product delivery services. On average, their same-day product delivery is 10 times less than FedEx or UPS’ rate. Hitch offers delivery without costing more than to replace items such as clothing, computer cords, medicines, etc.

Surge of Travelers During the Holiday Season

Hitch’s expansion in Florida is perfectly timed for the coming holidays. According to both AAA and TSA, this year will have more travelers than last year.

However, data also suggests that people are waiting last minute to buy their plane tickets this year given the changing COVID19 regulations. For these reasons, Hitch enjoyed an uptick in advanced bookings. Hitch allows users to book travel up to 60 days before their expected travel date.

According to its co-founder and CEO Kush Singh, “Friends and family who are flying in from other states also now have a convenient and affordable option to get from major airports to nearby cities within Florida”. He added that “Couple this with the ability to deliver packages the same day and many people’s holiday season is going to be a lot easier this year”.

Hitch offers a number of routes in Florida. It is available in Gainesville, Fort Myers, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Miami, Ocala, Orlando, Port St. Lucie, Tallahassee, Sarasota, Tampa, The Villages, and West Palm Beach.
