Billed as the “Limitless Voyage,” Virgin Voyages worked with Jennifer Lopez to create a special, one-time voyage inspired by Jennifer herself. The sailing is scheduled to depart Miami on April 14th and sail through April 19th and takes a special focus on women who are making waves in business or are wanting to make an impact.
Lopez was never supposed to set sail with the cruisers, however, she was expected to see the ship off with a special “bon voyage” toast, but now, that event is toast too.
In an email sent to travel agents, Virgin Voyages says that the new timing of events has now caused a scheduling conflict and Jennifer Lopez will not be present but she “sends her love to everyone, and we’re planning a future date together that we’ll let you know about as soon as we can.”
In lieu of the send-off, Virgin automatically applied $100 onboard credit to every cabin, for use onboard only. Then, they say, from Jennifer, there will be complimentary tasters of her new natural Delola Spritz Crafted Cocktail as one of the drinks at the Sail Away Party. And lastly, there will be a custom gift from Jennifer coming to Sailors post voyage as well.
Virgin Voyages still promises an epic party pre-departure with Sir Richard Branson “and friends” in attendance.
