Light Strike Leaves Holes in BA Plane

A recent lightning strike left a BA plane that had just departed from Heathrow Airport (LHR) with 46 holes. The Boeing 787-8 continued onward with its 9-hour journey to Chennai.  A spokesperson for the air line later said, “Our highly qualified engineers inspected and repaired some minor damage caused by a lightning strike, before the aircraft safely returned to service.”
