American Airlines recently inaugurated new routes from both Phoenix and Dallas to Loreto, Mexico.
On December 19, 2020, American Airlines kicked off two new routes that fly to Loreto, Baja California Sur and originate in Phoenix and Dallas.
Mexico has been open to American tourism throughout most of the pandemic. But open doesn’t mean “free of restrictions.” As the Governor of Baja California Sur, Carlos Mendoza Davis, explained when talking to The Jet Set:
“We are doing a very good job here in Baja California Sur taking care of the people. So I would like everyone to come visit us. And please, if you do come, take very good care also of the people here who want to stay healthy and avoid COVID. If we take care of you, you take care of us. That’s how it has to be for tourism to keep thriving.”
Mr. Davis also praised the new routes for making it easier for people from the United States and Canada to visit the area.
A historic town on the east coast of Baja California Sur, Loreto was the first Spanish colonial settlement under New Spain’s vice-royalty. These days, it’s an idyllic resort town.
A charming Shangri-La enhanced by crystalline waters, a quaint downtown, and delectable restaurants, the region ticks off every vacation must-have. To ensure a great getaway, book a room or suite at La Mision. The elegant hotel sits right on the water, and nearly every room has a spacious private balcony. Plus, be sure to grab a meal at Los Olivos. The restaurant offers fresh local cuisine that’s guaranteed to delight your taste buds!
