PAX Slams BA for Charging $6 for Tea

A British Airways passenger left his recent UK to Oslo flight fuming when he was charged $6 for a “strong” tea.

“We were told we had to pay double as they sold it by the tea bag. Was I right to be shocked?” asked the 60-year-old from Lancaster who did not wish to be named.

British Airways defended the charge, arguing that since each tea bag is attached to a disposable cup, they have to charge $3 for each of the two bags he requested for his “strong” tea. They added that hot water is complimentary and that passengers were welcome to bring their own tea bags on board for free.
