Pilot Shortage Could Mean Fewer Flights In the Future

Pilot Shortage Could Mean Fewer Flights In the Future

A Boeing study issued last week warned that the world’s airline would need to add 637,000 new pilots over the next 20 years to keep up with demand in rapidly-developing air markets. To fill that quota, roughly 87 new pilots would need to enter the commercial ranks every day. For the next 20 years.

The study also predicts that pilot salaries will increase in the future in response to the impending shortage, but it may not be enough to attract the pilots they need.
