A spurned spouse forced a Qatar Airways flight to make an emergency landing when she found incriminating evidence of infidelity on her husbands’ phone.
The unnamed woman used her sleeping husband’s finger to unlock his fingerprint-protected phone, and was so enraged by what she read she hit her husband repeatedly.
The cabin crew tried to intervene but were unable to calm her down. Eventually, pilots decided to make an unscheduled stop in Chennai to allow the woman, her husband and their child to deplane before resuming the flight to Indonesia.
No police action was taken. “The family spent the day at Chennai airport and was sent to Kuala Lumpur by a Batik Air flight. No police action was taken,” said a local official.
