72-year-old passenger David Ukesone claimed on Sunday that he is still healing from wounds received from the cabin crew of an Emirates flight during a flight from Nigeria to Chicago. The incident, which occurred in April of last year, has been compared by Ukesone’s family’s attorney to the infamous David Dao incident with United Airlines last year.
A spokesperson for Emirates said, in part, “An Emirates spokesperson released a statement Monday morning saying, “Emirates can confirm that a passenger on flight EK235 from Dubai to Chicago on 23 January, had to be restrained by cabin crew due to unruly behaviour during the flight. The passenger was handed over to the authorities on arrival in Chicago.”
