Budget carrier Spirit Airlines, which has achieved some measure of notoriety among flyers due to its mercenary approach to charges and customer satisfaction, sent an internal message to employees announcing that would be forming a partnership with the Disney Institute in order to “create a common purpose and a fresh set of service standards.” This move appears to be an effort to repair Spirit’s image in the public eye.
