Last week, airberlin shareholder Etihad intervened with the failing carrier, offering participants in airberlin’s Topbonus program the option of redeeming their miles with Etihad within a certain timeframe. Airberlin’s flights are slated to cease before October 28, and Topbonus members will have a few more weeks to plan their trips.
