Reinforcing connectivity between Mexico and Detroit, Aeromexico and Delta have joined forces to launch a new route in 2019.
Beginning in May, the two airlines will fly between San Luis Potosi and the Motor City, according to a just-released statement.

Described as a key market for the automotive industry, San Luis Potosi is ranked number two among states in Mexico witnessing the highest economic growth in the country.
The two airlines currently serve the Detroit market with non-stop flights from such Mexican destinations as Bajio; Mexico City; Monterrey, and also Queretaro. The route selection is focused primarily on creating air bridges between what the two airlines described as “highly industrial and dynamic destinations, to facilitate economic trade and promote the development of business in Mexico.”
Aeromexico and Delta Air Lines have a formal Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA), that allows for an expanded transborder route network. The two airlines offer more than 1,100 weekly transborder flights. Both airlines are founders are the SkyTeam global airline alliance.
