Flying can be a major headache, but an airlines/alaska-airlines-launches-new-service-between-hawaii-sacramento.html” target=”_self” rel=”nofollow”>Alaska Airlines flight carrying over 100 passengers Saturday was forced to endure a 30-hour nightmare after a series of unfortunate events.

According to WCVB.com, Alaska Airlines Flight 1367 departed from Boston Logan International Airport Saturday evening after a two-hour delay and was en route to Los Angeles International Airport when things got even worse.

Around 90 minutes into the flight, the pilot called for an emergency landing in Buffalo after crew members reported an electrical burning smell. Once the plane landed safely, firefighters worked on the plane while the passengers were transferred to the airport’s terminal.

The disrupted travelers were forced to spend the night at Buffalo Niagara International Airport before being boarded on another flight back to Boston Sunday morning, where they were once again forced to wait for 90 minutes while a gate was opened.

After finally being rebooked on a flight to Los Angeles later that day, the frustrated passengers dealt with another one-hour delay before finally taking off. As if it couldn’t get any worse, Alaska Airlines officials revealed several checked bags didn’t make it to LAX.

“We clearly failed them at several points and we deeply regret the experience that left them stranded for hours without support or communication,” Alaska Airlines said in a statement to WCVB.com. “That experience is not the Alaska way and does not reflect our values.”
