Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport closed one of its security checkpoints early on Saturday because of TSA callouts.
The Transportation Security Administration tweeted that it implemented a plan at BWI Marshall Airport with airport authorities and airlines, which involved closing security checkpoint A at 5:35 p.m.
Passengers were told in the tweet to arrive early for evening flights and to contact the airport for updates.

“In coordination with the airport, TSA is closing Security Checkpoint A at BWI Marshall to efficiently use staffing at other Security Checkpoints,” Fisher said in the email.
“Checkpoints B and C will remain open to support Concourses A, B and C. This will have minimal, if any, impact on passengers and no impact on airport operations.”
Despite the early closure and TSA callouts, the lines were not long on Saturday evening as it is usually a slow traffic period for the airport.
BWI Marshall Airport isn’t the first airport to close a security checkpoint early because of TSA callouts. Miami International Airport closed the security checkpoints in Terminal G early from January 12-14.
