British Airways Worker: They Fired Me for My Haircut

26-year-old former British Airways employee Sid Ouared claims that he has been the victim of sexism after being released from the carrier due to refusing to change his hairstyle, colloquially referred to as a “man-bun.”

“The fact that they dismissed me for being a man with long hair is ridiculous and sexist. They have discriminated against me,” said Ouared. “They basically said cut it, put it in a turban like a Sikh, or turn it into dreadlocks like a Rastafarian.”

British Airways has yet to comment on the specifics of Ouared’s firing.
