Country Singer Arrested After Causing Disturbance on Flight

Country singer Gretchen Wilson was arrested at an airport in Connecticut Tuesday after she caused a disturbance on a flight from Washington D.C.

According to CTPost.com, the 45-year-old Wilson was in first class on the flight when she began making her way to the bathroom. Another passenger beat her to the restroom, which caused Wilson to become angry and she reportedly shoved the other passenger.

When the plane landed at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, at around 7 p.m. local time, state police were there to meet Wilson and interview her about the situation.

Upon escorting Wilson on to the jetway, she became belligerent toward the officers and was taken into custody. The singer was charged with second-degree breach of peace and her bond was set at $1,000.

The official Twitter account of WFSB shared Wilson’s mugshot:

Wilson reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s country chart five times and is currently on a tour that began in June. Her latest album dropped in June 2017, dubbed Ready to Get Rowdy.
