Delta has been honored as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies for the 9th year in a row by Fortune, ranking higher on the list than any other airline.
Delta also rated higher than any other U.S. airline on Fortune’s list of Most Admired Airlines, coming in at No. 2 behind Singapore Airlines.
“Congratulations to all 75,000 Delta employees on this outstanding achievement,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. “Their hard work, dedication and ability to navigate the most difficult of circumstances demonstrated over the past two years deserves to be globally recognized. Securing the highest spot for an airline on the Top 50 list this year is an honor, and a testament to our commitment to keep climbing.”
Delta ranked No. 1 in the Wall Street Journal Airline Scorecard four of the past five years and has been No. 1 in the Business Travel News Airline survey 11 years in a row.
To select the top 50, Korn Ferry asked 3,740 executives, directors, and securities analysts who had responded to the industry surveys to select the 10 companies they admired most. They chose from a list made up of the companies that ranked in the top 25% in last year’s surveys, plus those that finished in the top 20% of their industry. Anyone could vote for any company in any industry.
