A female passenger was reportedly running down the aisles of the plane before she eventually locked herself into a rear lavatory. The flight attendants asked the woman to vacate the bathroom and discovered she had smoked inside.

The pilot claimed the woman’s actions put the whole plane in danger.

Once the flight crew landed the plane safely in Liverpool, passengers remained seated as police officers boarded the flight and escorted the woman off. Authorities said the woman was not arrested, but instead given a verbal warning.

EasyJet officials released a statement to Fox News regarding the incident:

EasyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.

Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior onboard. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew is always easyJet’s priority.
