Enjoy the Northern Lights from a Privately Chartered Airplane

Witnessing the spectacle of the Northern Lights is on any traveler’s bucket list, and Consulta Meta announced a new way to see the Aurora Borealis in 2019.

Customers will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch the Northern Lights from privately chartered Boeing 737 plane, making it the only flight in the world to take off within the Aurora Oval.

The five-day Aurora 360 Experience package runs between February 7-11, 2019, with the flight date determined based on Aurora forecasts. The vacation also includes culinary components, guest speakers, cultural events, optional day tours and more.

“The Aurora Borealis is truly one of the world’s greatest celestial phenomenon, and we are proud to offer this unparalleled experience,” Consulta Meta owner Anthony Gucciardo said. “It’s a bucket list worthy moment you’ll never forget. We can’t wait to get airborne!”

Canada‘s ultimate Aurora viewing tour only has 80 seats available, forcing travelers to purchase tickets before it’s too late. There are two pricing tiers, including the Aurora 360 flight only at $1,045 and the full Aurora 360 Experience for just $2,939.

The full Aurora 360 Experience includes four nights in Whitehorse, three Yukon dinners, cultural activities, entry to Takhini Hot Springs, a guided tour of Yukon Wildlife preserve and more.

“The Northern Lights are one of the Yukon’s biggest attractions. We had great success last year with the pilot project, so we’re understandably thrilled it’s being reintroduced and made even better,” Tourism Yukon manager Robin Anderson said. “Last year, passengers saw the Aurora Borealis just nine minutes after take-off and the lights continued for three straight hours. We hope they break that record this year!”
