Ice Staking Rink Returns to Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport was already well established as one of the country’s airlines/the-best-airports-for-a-long-layover.html” target=”_self” rel=”nofollow”>best airports for a long layover or airlines/the-best-worst-airports-to-get-delayed-at-this-holiday-season.html” target=”_self” rel=”nofollow”>lengthy flight delay.

However, killing time at DEN will be even more fun this holiday season with the return of the airport’s ice skating rink.

Back by popular demand for a third straight year, the rink will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through January 6, 2019. Plus, skate rentals are completely free so travelers don’t need to worry about packing their own.

Located on the DEN Plaza between the airport terminal and The Westin hotel, the rink hosted its first pair of skaters Friday morning and is likely to see tons more before the holidays are up.

The rink will also host special performances and appearances to entertain travelers over the coming weeks.

The airport’s newest attraction arrives just in time amid the hectic Thanksgiving travel period and is good news for passengers flying into or out of Denver hoping to get into the holiday spirit or simply blow off a little steam on the ice.
