If You Live Here, JetBlue Will Deliver NYC Pizza To Your Door

JetBlue is introducing a limited-edition pizza delivery program.

Dubbed Pie in the Sky, the intention of the new program will be to bring a taste of New York City to the West Coast by flying authentic NYC-style pizza from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport from May 9 through May 11.

The pizzas, made at the iconic Patsy’s Pizzeria of East Harlem, will be delivered to select residents of Los Angeles, who will be able to order the pies online and have them shipped right to their door.

To celebrate the one-of-a-kind program, JetBlue teamed with New York director Spike Lee to produce a video that provides non-New Yorkers with the directions on how to properly eat and enjoy a slice of NYC-style pizza.

“In New York City, pizza is an institution and culture that has become one of the symbols of the city’s identity,” Lee said in a statement. “Pizza is a true taste of home for New Yorkers. That’s why my friends at JetBlue have planned to bring pizzas from Patsy’s Pizzeria of East Harlem to our friends in Los Angeles.”

“As New York’s Hometown Airline, we know there’s no slice like a New York slice,” JetBlue vice president Elizabeth Windram said. “In creating the first-ever coast-to-coast pizza delivery by an airline, we’re bringing the best pizza to Los Angeles to share an authentic taste of our home.”

Pizza lovers in LA can order a plain cheese pie for $12 or pepperoni for $15 online each day during the program and it will arrive straight from New York later that night. JetBlue is asking Pie in the Sky customers to share the pizza with friends and family, as well as sharing their experience online by using #JetBluePieInTheSky.

JetBlue fills travelers in with details about how to order an authentic New York pizza:

1.Visit www.jetblue.pizza to start your order.

2. Validate your zip code to ensure you’re in the delivery zone.

3.Ordering opens at 12 a.m. PDT each day. Place your order for a 16” plain (cheese) for $12 or pepperoni pizza for $15 for delivery. Act fast, as quantities are limited to 350 per day —first come, first served!
