In-Flight Romance Goes Viral

Love was in the air on an Alaska Airlines flight from New York City to Dallas Monday. Literally.

Passenger Rosey Blair unintentionally turned into an in-flight matchmaker after asking the woman behind her if she would switch seats so she could sit next to her boyfriend.

Blair proceeded to document the duo’s interaction via social media, pointing out that the man and woman—who were without wedding rings—appeared to hit it off immediately, touched arms and even went to the bathroom together.

“Both look like sexy fitness buffs and they are chatting chatting and smiling at each other and we haven’t even left the runway!!!! I hope they get to fall in love!” she wrote.

The budding romance quickly gained a massive audience and even caught the attention of Monica Lewinsky.

After the flight, Blair photographed the two passengers walking with their luggage through Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport together.

Former professional soccer player Euan Holden confirmed he was involved in the in-flight interaction, telling Blair that the unidentified woman felt “positively” despite all of the attention.

Holden also took to Twitter to thank users for the support using the hashtag #PlaneBae.

Blair confirmed that the pair were still talking, giving us all hope that this mid-air fairytale might come true.
