Interjet Signs Partnership with Lufthansa

After coming to an agreement in May, the paperwork between Interjet and Lufthansa has been signed and the partnership is now official.

According to Pasillo Turistico, the deal between the Mexican and German airlines will help Interjet strengthen its international presence by offering tickets for purchase on the carrier’s flights to 55 destinations through Lufthansa’s official website.

In addition, the partnership will give Interjet customers more flight options throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

“This agreement between Lufthansa and Interjet is an important step in the international consolidation of the company to continue offering our passengers the best service and expand the connectivity that allows to promote tourism. and speed up commercial exchanges,” Interjet executive director Julio Gamero said in a statement.

The agreement with Lufthansa bolsters Interjet’s partnership network, which also includes previous deals with top international carriers, including Alitalia, All Nippon Airways, Iberia, Hahn Air, American Airlines, British Airways and LATAM.

The various partnerships have resulted in a rise in international passengers served for Interjet, with a 38 percent increase reported in the first quarter of the year, compared to the same period of 2017.
