It’s too bad Keanu Reeves’ approval rating can’t get any higher because the 54-year-old “John Wick” star emerged a real-life hero following an emergency landing in California over the weekend.
According to USA Today, Reeves was aboard a United Express flight from San Francisco to Burbank that was forced to divert to Bakersfield, California due to a “mechanical indication” on Saturday.

Freddy Lemmo, a representative for the flight’s operator, SkyWest, confirmed the flight landed “safely without incident.” Nonetheless, stranded passengers remained a two-hour drive from their destination.
Fortunately, it appears Reeves took it upon himself to step in and assist. A since expired Instagram story by Brian Rea shows the movie star speaking with airline representatives to keep his fellow passengers informed throughout the unexpected delay.
“The people who can unload the bags won’t be here for three hours. The vans will be here in an hour,” he’s heard saying, recommending that passengers leave now and worry about luggage later.
Other clips show Reeves riding in a van while reading passengers fun facts about Burbank.

He even took some time to pose for photos with passengers who are certainly fans now if they weren’t already.
