Man with Bleeding Head from Hair Transplant Arrested

A couple on an American Airlines flight was arrested after refusing to deboard when the man began profusely bleeding from a recent hair transplant surgery. The incident happened on a flight from Miami to Las Vegas on Monday.

Bloody Head from Hair Transplant Surgery

Passengers involved in the incident were Eugenio Ernesto Hernandez-Garnier, 27, and Yusleydis Blanca Loyola, 32. Airline staff asked Hernandez-Garnier to clean up the blood coming from his head. The airline staff then asked Hernandez-Garnier to replace his bandage. However, he responded that he didn’t have any clean bandages.

That’s when crew members asked both Hernandez-Garnier and Loyola to get off the plane. However, the pair refused and allegedly said  “If they could not fly, no one else can either.”

Since both passengers refused to leave the plane, police arrested Hernandez-Garnier and Loyola for trespassing. In a statement, the police said, “After a brief moment of resisting to be handcuffed, they were subsequently placed under arrest.”

After the arrest, both passengers were brought to the Jackson West Medical Centre and Hernandez-Garnier received medical care. Afterward, both were taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Entire Plane Was Forced to Disembark

In a TikTok video by Loyola, she can be heard screaming at the airline staff that her partner just had surgery. Ultimately, Loyola and Hernandez-Garnier’s argument with the airline staff led to the entire plane disembarking.

In a statement, American Airlines’ spokesperson said, “During boarding of American Airlines flight 1858 on Aug. 19 with service from Miami (MIA) to Las Vegas (LAS), two customers became disruptive and were non-compliant with crewmember instructions.”

The spokesperson added, “Law enforcement responded and removed both customers from the aircraft. We thank our crewmembers for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”

The delayed flight eventually took off on Tuesday morning. Both passengers are charged with trespassing and resisting an officer without violence.
