Police revealed that a five-year-old girl was left alone at a German airport by her parents Monday night after they had just returned from vacation.

According to The Associated Press, authorities in Reutlingen said that officers working inside Stuttgart Airport found a young child wandering through the terminal and took her to the airport police station.
A short time later, the child’s mother called the police and asked officials if they had found her daughter. She explained that the parents had driven home in separate cars, with each believing the other was transporting the little girl home.
The father returned to the German airport and police returned the child to her family. Authorities did not reveal how long the girl was left unattended in the facility.
The parents should appreciate their child more, as an 11-month-old American baby died last week after his Qatar Airways flight landed in India.
