On Thursday, Southwest Airlines officially opened bookings through January 5, 2020, allowing travelers to book flights for Thanksgiving and Christmas travel.
According to Southwest Airline’s official Twitter account, the airline said last week it planned to open air reservations by May 30, which was earlier than previously announced, including one reveal that said flights would be on sale as late as June 20.

While other top U.S. airlines such as American, Delta and United have been selling holiday flights for months, Southwest is often the price leader on many routes and travelers should expect flight costs to change now that the updated scheduled was opened.
Other carriers which have yet to start selling holiday travel include Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines, but both companies announced the flights would be on sale in the coming weeks.
Holiday season flights can be booked through Southwest’s official website.
