Southwest Launches Nationwide Flight Sale, Bonus Points Sweepstakes

Southwest Airlines is slashing fares and giving away up to four million Rapid Rewards bonus points as part of its “Summer How You Wanna” Sweepstakes launched this week.

Southwest customers can score flight deals from as low as $49 one-way during the carrier’s latest nationwide sale. Now through Thursday, July 9 at 11:59 p.m. CT, travelers can book discounted flights for continental U.S. and interisland Hawaii travel between August 1 and December 17, 2020; San Juan, Puerto Rico travel from August 18 through December 3, 2020, and international travel between August 18 and December 9, 2020.

What’s more, now through August 2, travelers can earn tens of thousands of Rapid Rewards bonus points when they visit @SouthwestAir on Instagram to share how they want to get away along with a photo of their favorite destination (from their public Instagram account) and tag @SouthwestAir, including the hashtags #WannaGetAway and #Sweepstakes in their post.

Each week, Southwest will randomly select 25 winners to receive 40,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points. The sweepstakes is open to U.S. adults with the exception of Alaska, Florida, New York and Rhode Island. Participants must enter by July 12, 19, 26 and August 2 at midnight PT to be eligible.

Members of the airline’s loyalty program can also earn five times the Rapid Reward points when booking at SouthwestHotels.com until July 20 and earn double points on nationwide travel booked and completed through August 31.

Contact your travel advisor or visit Southwest.com to browse the airline’s low fare calendar and see the official rules for the “Summer How You Wanna” Sweepstakes.
