Southwest Offers Winter Flash Sale

Southwest Airlines has announced its latest winter flash sale, which runs through October 4.

MORE Airlines & Airports

According to the carrier’s official website, the sale launched Tuesday morning and flights start as low as $49 one way on Southwest’s shortest routes. As for the airline’s longer routes, prices jump to $79, $99 or $129 one way.

To receive the discounted fares, customers must book their flights for travel between November 28 and December 19, as well as between January 3 through February 13. Other restrictions dictate the sale doesn’t apply to Friday and Saturday flights, and Orange County journeys were also excluded from the sale.

Southwest is warning travelers to order early in anticipation of discounted tickets selling out.

In addition, the airline announced in September that its bookable flight schedule has been extended through June 8, 2019.

The extension brings an additional new nonstop route linking San Jose and El Paso once weekly on Sundays beginning April 14, 2019, as well as resuming Sunday service between San Jose and New Orleans.
