A man traveling through a New York City airport was arrested Saturday after security officers found a handgun hidden inside a DVD player.
According to the official website of the Transportation Security Administration, the unidentified New York man had wrapped the firearm in aluminum foil and placed it inside a DVD player packed in his checked bag.

Kennedy International Airport were alerted of the weapon when it triggered an alarm in the security scanner. When authorities opened the bag and found the DVD player, they discovered the 9mm handgun concealed in aluminum foil.
New York police were called to the scene and the man was arrested at the gate while he was waiting for his flight to Mexico. Authorities have charged him with weapons violations.
