United Airlines revealed its new paint scheme Tuesday night and will celebrate the updated livery during a ceremony Wednesday at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
The video of the newly painted Boeing 737 was released on United’s official Twitter account after images of the new livery were leaked online. While the airline’s iconic globe painted on the tail will stay, the color scheme has changed.
Images of the new livery were shared on social media:

United is feeling blue, as most of the gold trim originally on the planes following the airline’s merger with Continental Airlines has been removed. In its place are shades of light and dark blue, from the tailfins to the engines.
In addition to making the company name larger on the fuselage, United also added a dark wavy line below the windows from the nose to its tail.
In total, the airline expects the fleet to be completely repainted within five years.
