United to Add Nonstop Service Between Denver and Frankfurt

United Airlines announced Thursday it will launch the carrier’s 15th daily nonstop flight between the United States and Germany from its hub at Denver International Airport next year.

The airline already boasts more service to Germany than any other U.S. carrier, and United revealed it will launch the Denver-to-Frankfurt route on May 2, 2019, subject to government approval.

Tickets are now available for purchase on United’s official website.

“United is committed to expanding our global network for our customers and our employees and we are excited to continue this growth with the addition of new service between Denver and Frankfurt,” United vice president Patrick Quayle said. “From the mid-continent United States to the rest of the world, United offers customers more choice and more international flights and destinations than any other carrier.”

When it launches, the new service between Denver and Frankfurt will become the only nonstop service from Denver to Germany by a U.S. carrier. The route will also be United’s ninth flight between the U.S. and Frankfurt.

Frankfurt has become a key destination for United, with the airline offering daily nonstop service between the German city and its hubs in Chicago, Houston, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington Dulles.

On the other hand, the carrier will connect more than 60 cities through Denver to Frankfurt.

“We are appreciative to have such a great partnership with United Airlines and that they continue to grow and invest in Denver with the addition of this new year-round transatlantic service,” Denver International Airport CEO Kim Day said.
