For travel agents serving clients who prefer to see the United States via rail, Amtrak Vacations is launching a limited time Flash Sale starting on May 2.
Travelers booking their next vacation with Amtrak will be eligible to save $200 per couple when they upgrade to a private roomette sleeping accommodation or $300 per couple when they upgrade to a Private Bedroom Sleeping Accommodation.

To take advantage of the limited-time offer, travel agents must book the rail journeys for their clients between May 2 and May 11. The savings are based on double occupancy and only valid in the United States when the trip is booked over the phone.
Amtrak also recently announced passengers on the Capitol Limited and Lake Shore Limited trains will be able to enjoy hand-crafted meals that can be delivered to their rooms or eaten in a private cafe or lounge car starting on June 1.
In addition, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner is offering a friends and family discount with special savings on train travel to Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties through May 23. Passengers can purchase one full-fare adult ticket and book up to three additional passengers on the same reservation at a 50-percent discount on select trips.
