Amtrak Offering Summer Flash Sale

For travelers always looking for the best deal, Amtrak is offering a new summer flash sale through June 7, dubbed Amtrak Across America.

Rail travelers looking to explore the United States between July 9 and November 16 will be eligible to receive up to 30 percent off a standard fare when their trip is booked through the official website by Thursday.

The Amtrak Across America flash sale is applicable for travel to numerous destinations across the country, including popular routes and services like the Auto Train, Capitol Limited, Cardinal, Empire Builder, Lake Shore Limited and Texas Eagle.

For travelers heading on vacation with a bicycle or their pets, Amtrak carried 26,423 bikes across its national network from June through September in 2017, as well as offering fares of only $25 for cats and small dogs (20 pounds or less).

Amtrak passengers will also be able to enjoy amenities such as spacious seats, no middle seats, ample legroom and Wi-Fi on many train services. In addition, one child between the ages of 2-12 may accompany each adult at half the typical adult ticket price.
